I am not giving a one star for the food or place. The one stars for the management and owners. worst management worst owners. How can you have one person working on a Saturday when the place is packed that poor girl didn’t even get to clean half the tables I sat and waited 20 minutes just for a coffee only because she was too busy. I don’t know whether I should call the labour board. This is borderline slavery. Felt so bad for her. owners of need to shape up treat their employees better.
Worst experience ever. If you ever want to throw away money, visit this spot. Wasted my 55 dollars ordering the smallest pieces of fish and tiniest crankiest sweet potato fries. Was really disappointed and when I tried to talk to them, they brushed me off. Do not waste your money on these people.
This is my breakfast go-to. The cook does my bacon and eggs exactly how I like it, every time. However, all accolades go to our server, Grace. Like her name, she exudes grace under pressure. She always works alone, even during the busiest hours. She does the work of 2 servers and a bus person, and continues to be so pleasant and nice. Give this girl a raise!!!
We have been coming to this location pretty well since it opened. It is nicely situated on the South West corner of Simcoe and Beatrice streets. This gives access from both Simcoe and Beatrice. There is lots of comfortable seating always a very friendly bunch of customers. Also to add, the restaurant is licensed. The staff, both serving and preparing are excellent. Out of the many servers we have dealt with (feeling bad about picking a favorite) is Amanda. As soon as she sees us she knows exactly what we will order ..... haddock and chips plus two - or three, excellent mushy peas. Not all H House locations serve them.
I hadn't been here in a couple months and the food had digressed significantly. Portion size was ridiculously small compared to what it used to be and was very lackluster in taste. I'm not sure what happened...possibly a bad day for the place...But I probably won't be back.
Was late coming to pick up my order, they were 5 minutes from closed and had thrown it out because they thought I was not going to show up, they had called me, I just didnt hear the phone go off. They stayed late to remake it for me even though it was totally my fault. Couldnt ask for more, they really went above and beyond and the food is fantastic.
What a wonderful experience here. It was not what I expected, especially for breakfast. The Daily Special was terrific. The service was terrific! The server was fast, professional and you just knew that she cared. Thank you. Food was great ? ? and the price was right. I'll be back and probably try what you are named after, very curious ? ? ?. The place was well kept. Bathroom cleaned to a quality standard. You could just tell. News on a large T.V. and news laid out for your reading pleasure. Amazing! I will and definitely recommend to others.1
