Great experience with Vern Glass. They were able to replace 2 thermo glass panes quickly and provided suggestions on how to re-install them. Great price and saved me the high cost of having to replace the 2 window units. Big thanks to Vern Glass and Vinny and his team!!!
We contacted Vern Glass after our house was broken into and some glass was smashed. The person we spoke with on the phone was very helpful and friendly. Within 30 minutes of calling, Vern Glass came to our house and took a frame to custom cut a piece of glass. Later the same day, they returned to install the frame and glass. Amazing service at a fair price. We will use them for all of our future needs. Thank you Vern Glass!
Called and told the woman on the phone that I wanted to place an order for custom glass for a sidelight for my front door. She says okay, followed by about a minute of silence. Assuming she was getting set up in her computer or something, I didn’t say anything until she finally says “I’m going to need dimensions if you want to place an order” in the rudest tone I’ve ever heard from someone I’m trying to bring business to. I tell her the width and height of the glass then she asks me to measure the total thickness from exterior pane of glass to interior. I tell her it’s 7 inches. She says impossible. I ask her again to clarify what she’s wanting me to measure and then confirm it is 7 inches. Then she says “you’re obviously not understanding” as if she’s a fountain of knowledge and I’m stupid. She was extremely condescending, rude and quite honestly miserable. Decided to take my business elsewhere. And surprise, it is 7 inches…
Had a glass cut for the window of my china cabinet. Was ready far sooner than I thought it would have taken. Very friendly and helpful staff! I highly recommend them! ?
Placed my order Monday it was ready Thursday, i bought a custom size glass for the top of a dresser, $100 for 55x19 with polished edges I would buy from again
These people are beyond unprofessional. The owner is an older man who leaves a woman in charge of the telephones and ordering intake. I needed a piece of glass, I called an asked how do I provide them with my order, measurements etc. It was a dodgy call that had me kind of sitting back like "seriously?", but she took the order and I ran in the stencil she suggested for the edges. I asked her in person, how long might I expect to wait, she said she didn't know. A couple days. This was on a Friday. I called back Tuesday to find out how much longer the order would be, the man on the phone who seemed as though he could barely speak said he didn't know where my order was, he couldn't find it, but when he did get a chance to double check he would call me back within the day. Two days passed. I call back. I ask about my order and the woman over the phone sounds really hysterical. I let her speak since speaking over me was the only way she seen fit to perform this phone call. When I asked if she was done and if she could answer what I called about she continued on about how all these workers have covid, they are all being tested and she doesn't know if they are back in five days or longer? Yet I was just in there in person myself a few days before....? She is beyond hysterical at this point not listening to a word I say as I ask her to calm down and ask if this is the way they typically treat their clients who are simply looking for an approximation? She is so far gone ranting on I can't get a word in and have to hang up. As I do I hear her suggest perhaps they should just cancel my order. After wasting a week of my time, my gas to drive there to provide them the measurements etc. My calls and so on, I for no good reason should seek a cancellation on my order? Given the insanity I just experienced, yes - a cancellation at that point is the ONLY way, because my money won't be wasted at establishments like this. Then I continue to read the other reviews posted here and I can't help, but think what a poor choice I made not reading these sooner!
Sherry was very personable and friendly. Gave me an estimate which came in less than quoted. Plus, she said it would be a few days but it was ready the next morning. She called me first thing the next day to let me know. Have passed their number to my friend. Definitely recommend Vern Glass!
