Do not waste your time going to Durham Precious Metals. They quote the spot price while evaluating your gold, but when it comes time to pay, they offer less than 50% of the actual value, using confusing numbers and no clear breakdown. If you value your time and money, avoid this place and look for a buyer who’s honest and upfront.

Impressed!!! I am a complete newbie to precious metals. Tom and his staff were friendly, knowledgeable and sacrificed a lot of their time to help me understand the process and strategy. Knowing full well that I had no intention of spending any money that day they invested the time in me anyways. I will be returning to make some small acquisitions as I embark on this journey. Highly recommended. And, with regard to the other reviewer that had such horribly misguided expectations of what a precious metals dealer does, I think you should reconsider your review. And furthermore, your comment about Tom's skin colour reveals your racism. Clearly you have some serious soul-searching to do

Firstly, im very impressed with the level Of friendliness and professionalism. The whole transaction took about 10 minutes and i was very surprisingly excited with the outcome. Avoid, the hock shops for old jewellery and coins. Parking was easy too! Seriously walk around the house and see what u have and take it there for some funny money. You will not be disappointed. 10 stars if I could. Thanks
