My worker, D. McBride always makes things easier for me.
Phone is rarely answered by either the switchboard or one's worker. When it is their tone is either confrontational or indifferent.
Mainly young desk staff chew gum loudly, roll their eyes when you arrive, "what do you want" impatiently asked then sigh "take a seat & be prepared to wait, no idea how long" don't care either!New staff with no clue about anything, every 2 weeks seems normal here. What I wait 2 hours or more for I always wonder as my own worker never returns calls or forms without a dozen inquiry calls & ignored voicemails! I never know when my worker has changed or who it is week to week the staff just changes so often. All are the same not available, so what are they so busy doing?! I suspect volumes of letters forms etc. being sent out Cutting off as many recipients of ODSP as they can. This is a very "broken" program most focused on getting all on ODSP disqualified! Recently most staff have a VERY POOR/LACK OF KNOWLEDGE on how ODSP even works! I get a lot of "I don't know and "I guess so" answers! Being on ODSP since the late 80's I find I have to inform workers how policies/procedures & many programs rules etc. operate! If I did not need this nasty place help pay my rent & some prescriptions I would avoid ODSP like a bad virus! Many workers I have had take pleasure in being rude & demanding or are behind on calls paper work etc. from always being on a 2 week vacation! ODSP is a Deplorable neglectful service to a Life long Canadian citizen & they do NOT CARE! ODSP Oshawa has only been very keen to stop you from receiving any benefits, looking for a reason to cut all services off! That & vacations are next priority for staff here. Disgusting
No one is answering the call. Still says the operator mailbox is full.
The phone service doesn't list any of the case workers in the "by name" section, the operator never picks up, and when you get in contact with a case worker they continuously try and defer you to anything else without looking into any problems or information. Even going in to the office they "Can't connect you with a case worker" or book an appointment with the caseworker in the case that they are busy. I had to get the secretary to write a note which I'm not even sure GOT to the caseworker. Heavens if anyone needed to get into an emergency contact with any of these workers, you'd be better off trying to call the PM of Canada's Office or the CRA
