The employees at the store were lovely BUT… In July, I dropped off and paid for 6 rolls of film to be developed from disposable cameras. About a month or so later, I received an email with the digital copies of five of these rolls. I immediately reached out regarding the missing roll. The customer service team let me know that they contacted the lab and my roll was “still processing”. This was untrue. After months of reaching out with no reply, I finally started the process over in November and again, requested information regarding the missing roll. The customer service team admitted that this roll was lost and would not be developed. They offered a gift card to use their service again, but not a refund for what I had paid for. They said the Oshawa store emailed to pick up the 5 rolls, and that was also not true. I’ve checked all inboxes. Unfortunately, these rolls of film were from our wedding. The missing roll is the ONLY roll with pictures of the wedding party and close friends on it. Essentially, the most important and sentimental one to us. This is horrible customer service. Not only did they lie, they ignored my emails, and offered no real solution regarding the expensive cost of film development. I absolutely do not want a gift card to use this abysmal service again. I have no idea how 1 of 6 rolls were “lost” when they were all dropped off and sent to the lab together, and I received the digital images of the other 5 rolls within the provided time frame. It’s unfortunate that film development is expensive and hard to come by these days, and as customers we are left with an unreliable service. I will need to go to the Oshawa store to pick up the physical prints of the 5 other rolls and I truly don’t know how I will have patience or understanding for this. It’s incredibly disappointing and insulting to be lied to, ignored, and then offered a gift card in place of a refund. I absolutely do not recommend using this service. If you can find a place that develops film on-site, I highly recommend doing that instead to avoid it “getting lost”.
Gonna join the other comments that the staff of this place is VERY rude. Never coming in there again, but I highly recommend the Scarborough location. Do yourself a favor and make that extra drive, it will be worth it.
We came here today to pick up our photo order. There was no proper line, and a lady who came after us (also picking up an order) was served first. When we tried to speak with the male staff member, he dismissed us without even asking what we needed. The place is disorganized.
The woman who was giving me back my film was rude and impatient with me. She scoffed when I gave her my last number before indicating that I had only dropped of the one roll of film. And it took forever for her to get my order when it was only the physical copies. I gave my name, phone number and email and stated that I only dropped off the one roll. The guy and younger girl have always been nice though and are great with their customer service. You can tell they genuinely care about the service they are giving. Then again it could have just been a bad moment but when it’s something as exciting as film and a passion for many people you’d expect a better experience.
First off let me just say this “This location is fire ! And for all the grandpas, grandmas and rock and rollers of the past, that just means it’s amazing . Ray and his staff are an absolute blessing. They literally ooze passion and possess the stoicism of a prime Clint Eastwood, while executing the Witt of a sober George Carlin . The level of knowledge and depth each member has , gave me the confidence to make a purchase and separate the money from my wallet like Moses separated the Red Sea ! They also offer photography classes for free ! Yes that’s right there are some F words that still hold some weight ! Please swing by and see for yourself! Returning customer for life and maybe even after it .
Bought a Fujifilm camera here a few weeks ago, and I had a great experience. The 2 staff members who helped us out were extremely kind and professional. They effectively addressed all our questions/concerns, and helped us out with student pricing which was great! Overall, very pleased and I have been loving my new camera!
Had a good experience to get the photos clicked for Citizenship application for the family. Try not to get the soft copy as that costs $30 more if you have scanner at home.
