I did G2 driving course (20 hours in class, 10 asynchronous and 10 in car lesson) back in march, and everything was great. Paul, the teacher was very kind and genuinely cared about students and the safety of everyone out on the road, as well as my personal driving instructor, Ahmed, who was very patient and supportive especially when I made mistakes. I passed my test first try with no faults, however it was only due to this excellent program. If you’re hesitant to take this course, I would definitely recommend it.
Our son had a great experience at Oshawa Driving School. His instructor Ahmed was punctual for in car driving instruction, patient, and willing to do whatever was needed to ensure test readiness. Thanks Ahmed for being knowledgeable, flexible and a trustworthy instructor for our son.
If you get the instructor Ahmed you will have a completely different experience than these other reviews. He was understanding calm and in no way demeaning. He explained things clearly and nicely gave tips I will carry with my driving forever! He was also very, communicative, accommodating and accepting, making for a comfortable environment in the car for the 1-2 hour lessons. He helped me, prepare, book, and practice for my g2 exam so well I passed the first time with no issues in his car. If you are able to request him I recommend it he is 100% worth the time in class. I never dreaded an appointment with Ahmed.
Did my course back in 2021 I believe it was. The in class lessons were fine, but the actual driving classes were not great with Gary as my instructor. Crusty old guy who needed to retire and said so himself. He would tell me how to do a maneuver and I'd do it once, but there was never any practicing. Just as the other reviews say, he was not kind and had a lot of insulting things to say about the novice driver he was teaching, but never really provided advice for correction. It wasn't a pleasant experience for me as a 32 yr old with driving anxiety, so I can't imagine what it'd be like for a teenager. My lessons also happened during covid restriction times, so it took forever to get them done, as he kept taking on new clients. I finally took my G2 test a week ago and passed, no thanks to him. I wish I had listened to the in class teacher when he said that if we have any issues with our driving instructor, to contact them immediately and they would place us with someone else. So if anyone gets Gary, switch instructors!! Hopefully he has actually retired by now.
The place is very cozy. The course is easy to sit through. The best price in all of the Ontario I could find. Had my G1 for a while and w this school I got my G2 from the first try in one month! Ahmed as a driving instructor was absolutely amazing! Very patient and explains very well. Thank you guys!!
Horrible driving school, my boyfriend paid for lessons, did the in school part and never heard back from anyone for driving lessons, has tried calling to get his money back or lessons and no one responds. It’s been way over a year, when he did have an instructor that was suppose to take him out there was always an excuse as to why they couldn’t make it.
Excellent driving school! My friend who had her children take driver training at the Oshawa Driving School recommended I bring my children here. I brought my 2 daughters and 2 of their friends here and now sending my third daughter here as the staff are thorough, patient and easy to understand. The training provided made it much easier on me to tour around to "practice" drive when we had opportunity. Thank you Oshawa Driving School
