I visited this store after a friend’s recommendation, hoping to get an estimate to repare my floors. I’ve been dealing with floor and subfloor issues since moving into my townhouse three years ago, and although the builder attempted several repairs, the creaking and dips worsened. Eventually, the builder offered a payout so I could hire my own contractor. I explained all this to Kevin, who was helpful during my visit and assured me he would send me a quote later that day. However, after three days with no update, I called—he promised to send it that evening. Another three days passed with no response. When I followed up again, I was told the job wasn’t feasible for them and that I had only been asking for a "favour" to deal with Tarion. I was shocked. First, I was clear from the start that I was looking for a proper quote to get my floors fixed—not a favour. Second, if the job wasn’t feasible, why string me along and waste a full week of my time? Thankfully, I contacted the Ajax location and Sharon provided a rough estimate within a day, and I'm now waiting on the final details. While I appreciate local businesses and actively support my community as a member of the Oshawa Rotary Club, this experience at the Oshawa location was extremely disappointing and puzzling. I expected better communication and professionalism.
We recently had A+ in to do a tub/shower reno. It turned out better than we had imagined and we absolutely love it. They were very easy to work with and accommodated our schedules. Arrived when they said they would, and stuck to the quote we were given. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommended.
