I am extremely disappointed in my experience today at Delpark library. I attended the library with my infant for the bouncing babies program at 10:15 this morning and was shocked at how the program was being run. The space felt completely unsafe packed with adults, kids and strollers shoulder to shoulder. There was no space to sit or even stand with my baby. I couldn’t even browse the children’s book section as it was completely full of people blocking all the shelves. I saw many adult men with no child in their lap crowding the children’s section benches and chairs. I strongly suggest the library consider implementing boundaries or attendance limits for this program, such as restricting attendance to one adult per child, or offering multiple sessions to manage the crowd size. Creating a safe and welcoming space should be a priority, especially for programs aimed at babies and their caregivers. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I hope to see improvements in the future that will ensure a more enjoyable and secure experience for all attendees.
Just had the kindest phone call. She genuinely cared and went out of her way to make sure all of my questions were answered. Made my night! Thank you ❤️
Gets the job done if you’re just going to grab a. book and leave, but between the layout of the library and the constant (and I mean CONSTANT) flow of elementary and high school students makes it a pretty terrible place to try and get work done. very rarely quiet
Friendly staff always willing to help you with whatever you're looking for. Great programs and contests for kids. My son Lucah, did the scavenger hunt last week and won the draw for the prize. Thank you for the gifts!
It's a cozy place to curl up with a book or to study with a group of friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Did you know the library offers book sets for book clubs? Ask your librarian for more information!
Pros: Nice and helpful staff, New building Cons:: NOISY On an average, everyday on different timings, because of inbuilt recreational center or school kids. They visit library and have continues whispering. Also, Parents bring their kids and teach them, it makes little noisy if you like to study in peaceful zone , it will bother you.
sitting knitting quietly, listening to music on my MP3, two ladies sit down and have their morning conversation with each other about whatever. I turn up the volume on my headphones so I cant hear them. Librarian comes over and asks me to turn it down cause people can hear it??? TELL EVERYONE TO SHUT UP THEN I usually keep the volume down so no one else can hear it, unless I have to listen to someone else, then I turn it up. The volume out of my headphones (in my ears) is not very audible to others even at the highest volume THERE'S NO REASON THESE LADIES HAD TO SIT IN A LIBRARY TO HAVE THEIR MORNING COFFEE AND CONVERSATION, THAT'S WHAT COFFEE SHOPS ARE FOR
This Library does not have enough books that are interesting for me and theres not enough PS3games.I would rate this 0 stars if I could.please supply more PS3 games.
It's a zoo. Loud with kids running around
Love this library, staff is great! Love that you can borrow books they dont have from all across Canada at no expense! Keep up the great customer service.
