Thank you guys for not discriminating against anyone that walks through your doors. I have witnessed the tremendous selfless help the staff provide to EVERYONE that walks through the doors regardless of their appearance or social class. Life is hard for others at times financially and mentally, so it’s great to see the amount of resources available to the public and it’s definitely a safe space for a lot of people who reside in the area. The staff here are kind and courteous!

mclaughlin has amazing staff that are knowledgeable beyond books. They help with and provide education on the social resources located in the community available to the public. They are all soft spoken and kind. The library is located in the downtown core so it’s a Great spot available to those suffering with mental health to read, provide the homeless a warm place to recharge during hours of operation, access computers to connect with family members about their wellbeing and participate in any social events the library offers.im in university so this library has helped me over the years with research papers, printing and studying. Thank you mcglaughlin!!

Nice ambience. I was able to get books for the boys to read. You have 3 weeks to return them but I think they will done with the 14 books before the end of the week.

Bad hours and had a negative experience with the staff when it came to closing

Good seating, enough computers, better selection than I thought and helpful staff

Love the grab and go backpacks of themed books in the kids section. So easy to focus on the interest of our children, and the variety in them from baby to preteen. Great for the family. The setup and functionality of the kids area is just perfect, can easily browse while keeping track of my kid drawing and playing.

Conspired to other libraries it really doesn't offer as much. I wish it would have more seating. Especially comfy seating. And i fealty dorm like the way it's setup. You have to go through isles of booked just to get to the seating.

do we have to pay if we're printing something?over all they are the best and has the most helpful staff.

Selection is great. Childrens area is nice.ButIt's too bad people are allowed to sit and crunch at computers with large bags of chips and slurp pop, not to mention loud music, talking and sometimes snoring. I'll stop at that.A little more control the way things used to be it would be a wonderful place to be :/

Great kids section. Staff are always so friendly.

We're glad you enjoy the grab-and-go kits :) Be sure to come by and check out the refreshed Children's department - the grand opening is 28 January 2017.

Hi iheartatreyu - we do try to pack as many books, dvds, cds, blu-rays, XBox and PS3/4 games, and internet access computers in as possible, but we hear you. I expect when next we redesign the layout there will be more of a focus on making sure people can come to the library and stay for a while to study, read, or just spend some time in a comfortable space. Thanks for your comment :)
