Poor service. A lot of swearing and complaining about moving items. Complained about a couple items that were not mentioned on the phone. Complained about boxes that had to be moved. Very unprofessional, the bill was twice as much as it should have been. Had to pay an additional $420 because of traffic. And an additional 140 for them to get to my place and back to their office. Still a lot of items not moved and left at my old place for me to deal with. Would definitely not recommend them to anyone. I left this post for a week to calm down but still have an overwhelming feeling of being ripped off which is why I'm posting this.
Everything is great until there's a problem. Horrible customer service. You have to wonder about a person that posts a 5 star review of her own company. Bonnie. When unloading our furniture they dropped our new Bombay desk. After many unanswered calls we were finally able to reach Bonnie. Who declared that after talking it over with her husband that its not their fault but that of Bombay, and we should call them to complain. Strange how they loaded it into the truck with no problem. I guess somewhere along the drive it became a different desk. In the end she may offer us a 100$ for a 1500$ desk, after she ponders it while away in Florida. I guess we're supposed to hold our breath in anticipation. She even refused to go through insurance with us willing to pay the deductible.If you like your furniture stay away
Mr Warren Stacey the previous review hired us at 140.00 per Hr. He Moved from Bowmanville to Baltimore ont. He is writing us a bad review because of construction on the 401 hwy. Our travel time was 4 hrs so the move itself took 4 hrs which is more then reasonable. He is not complaining about damages or the load or off load as it went great as we expect. He should maybe take this anger out on the Constuction Compay or the Ont Govermant instead of a Family business who have a great reputation for 33 YEARS.
This moving Compay have been around for 33 years and have put their heart and soul into taking care of their Customers. If there are any problems of an kind which as you can imagine there definatley are after doing thousands of jobs they take responibility for it and compensate the customer each and evert time. Sometimes the only people to leave reviews are those trying desperatley to hurt your reputation and the thousands of others just don't have the time. All the best to you all
We moved our 3 bedroom home with Mountain Moving Systems in April 2014. The move distance was approximately 45 km and we were pleasantly surprised how well the day went. There were no issues! I spent hours researching moving companies because this was our first real move. We obtained quotes from 5 other moving companies within Durham Region and Mountain had one of the more reasonable rates (they even offered a spring rate - which ends at the end of April). We had packed all our boxes in advance and stored them in our garage, but left all the bigger items as is for the moving crew, which consisted of 3 men (Lonny, Richard and ??). The crew was careful with our stuff, friendly and worked efficiently together. The entire move was 5.5 hours and cost less than what we had budgeted. I would recommend this moving company to others.
