Horrible customer service on the phone and in person. Took 30 to return the truck. If you can avoid it, do!
Literally the worst experience Ive ever had. If I had the option of rating 0 stars, I would, but Im forced to put at least 1. Firstly, my initial phone call to schedule my appointment was horrendous, I was put on hold for 10 minutes after I gave them my credit card number. Scam came to mind when the rep told me my credit card wasnt going through, when I had more than enough room to pay for my rush fee for the parts they didnt have in stock. At the end of the phone call the rep told me I would get a confirmation email....except I told him he never asked me for my email and he said I think I did....no sir you did not, and I never received a confirmation email. I had to google search my confirmation # with my phone number to make sure I didnt just call a scam number. We paid for a rush fee to have the parts delivered one day later, schedule the appointment for two days later just to be on the safe side. On the day of, we get to our appointment and to our surprise, U-Haul doesnt have our parts and they already got their shipment for the day. Thankfully, the lady at the desk (as unprofessional as she was) helped us out and got one of the employees to drive an hour away to pick up our parts to have our hitch installed the same day. I was told I would receive my rush fee refund when we come to pick up the car later that evening....great I thought. We were told our hitch would be installed 30 minutes after our schedule appointment. After much headache things were looking up and it seemed as though we were going to arrive at 5pm to see our car ready to pull a trailer. We were told we would receive a call once its all done. 5pm rolls around and we dont get a phone call...we call the place and get forwarded to the call centre about 4 times. We take a chance and drive 30 minutes to U-Haul to pick up our car, to our surprise THE CAR WAS NEVER EVEN TOUCHED. At this point my blood is boiling and Im so upset, I go in there and they tell me they didnt know my car had to get a hitch installed. The paperwork was untouched, my car was still in the same spot it was before we left in the afternoon, and there was NO hitch installed. We have two small children that missed their naps, were cranky as hell, and we had to lug them around back and forth for what exactly? They told us we can come back at 7am the next morning to get it done, and for the charge of parts only. We were going away to Montreal that night and needed the hitch installed that day. Even though they were only going to charge us for parts and no labor, Id rather save me from getting another headache and going with a different company. The only positive outcome from all of this, is that we received our refund for the rush fee I paid for. For those who have actually read this entire review, we recommend you dont go to this place for any services, and we have chosen to go with Easton in Newcastle on the 115. Thanks for nothing U-Haul!
I had to give atleast 1 start to make a review. Worst customer service. Two times Ive been there and each time had issues. The lady at the front deck lied to my face and when I questioned her about it she changed her story and had to ask someone else deal to with me because she couldnt keep her lies straight and I was calling her out on it! The next fellow was nicer but there was nothing he could do since the transaction was already completed. DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE!!!
