Great experience with the repair and the updates throughout the process. The manager Ves walked me through the process and the work from what I can see is very impressive. They cleaned the car too which is very nice. Francine at the reception is so lovely and put my mind at ease when I called to follow up. Overall lovely experience and highly recommended.
This was a first time experience for me the staff were all friendly and very helpful. The guys that did the work to repair the damage to my car did an amazing job. Can't even tell where the damage was done. Thanks so much Carstar Drake team.
We have been using Car Star for all our fleet vehicles here and have had nothing but the best service! We love the added touch with updates right to your phone so we know the progress of the repairs. Downgraded from 2 to 1 star because even after 3 weeks my concerns continue to be ignored: I brought my vehicle to CarStar Drake St. at the end of July for an insurance job. An estimated 8-day repair wound up taking 3 weeks. The repair itself was well done, and other than the time it took to complete, I have no issues. However, while the vehicle was in the shop, I got a call from one of the technicians asking me if I knew my driver's door power window was inoperative. I did know that, but it had nothing to do with the work they were doing, and I asked that they just leave it alone. When I picked the vehicle up, the employee who brought it out to me said that they had tried to push the driver window a little further up into its frame for me. As I drove away, it was immediately apparent that the window had been left significantly lower than it had been when I dropped it off.. there was a visible ⅛" gap all along the top of the window. I returned to the shop that day and asked them to get the window back up, as it had originally been. They worked on it for about a half hour, but still, there is enough of a gap to push a credit card though. That doesn't sound bad, until you're driving on the 401, or if it's pouring rain - or if you want to wash the car! I contacted CarStar customer service and suggested they should properly repair the window, on the grounds that my request to LEAVE THE WINDOW ALONE was ignored, and a very minor problem is now quite a bit worse. Customer Service's response? They aren't responsible, on the grounds that I REFUSED a repair. In my mind, that's the whole problem.. I said "Leave it", and they didn't. They just messed around with it and made it worse. To date, repeated requests to reconsider that decision have been ignored. So.. I would suggest leave your car with CarStar at your risk. If they go off and perform unauthorized work on your vehicle, it's not at all certain that they will stand behind it, especially if it doesn't go right. I am a huge believer in good customer service, corporate responsibility and basic integrity. I have been left sorely disappointed in this case.
While the original paint match on my new rear bumper was great, it hasn’t lasted. Less than 2 years since repair, and the leading edges on both sides are rusting out. It was an insurance job so it’s not like I paid out of pocket for the work, but I certainly expect a paint job to last longer. The factory vehicle paint had zero rust after 4 years of ownership.. big let down

I just dropped into carstar with my mom, as she was having an issue with her car door squeaking when opening it. I came here on a whim because I have a friend who works here, but when I got here I found out the friend had called in sick. As I was attempting to call said friend in the parking lot, one of the mechanics (Carl) came up to us and asked if there was anything he could do to help. We explained the situation and he said he’d take a quick look right out in the parking lot. I honestly have no idea what he did but the door was fixed in literally TWO SECONDS. He bent down, looked at the door, performed some kind of hand wizardry, and it was fixed. We tried VERY hard to offer him some money for doing it, and he refused it. This place is definitely in the business of helping people wherever they can, and I highly recommend coming here.
