We ordered a custom recliner chair today at Wilson Furniture Oshawa. Our saleslady Mari was very knowledgeable & helpful regarding what we were looking for. We would not hesitate to shop there again & recommend our friends & family to do the same.
My experience with Wilson Furniture was not a good one. The sales rep was pushy and tried to talk me into an item that was more than my budget and exactly what I said I did not want. The sales rep thought it was a good selling technique to suggest I select the special leather offered and then indicated I could damage the leather after a few years to receive a new sofa. When I questioned this, she told me that the special leather would be no longer available so a new sofa would be offered. What kind of selling technique is this?? I should have realized there was something shady going on. Foolishly I decided to make a purchase, which I greatly regret. I thought I was making a purchase during their big sale event but only to find out I was only provided a very small 10% discount. When better sales came up, I asked if I could take advantage of the additional sale events. Once again, no! Worse customer experience ever. Do not purchase from Wilson! As I have paid half the money and am waiting on delivery of the item, I asked if I could change my mind. I asked if there were any options, could I put the money towards another item. I was told no. No alternative options given, just no!
I purchased the La-Z-Boy Natalie sofa from Wilson furniture back in June 2022. The whole experience from purchasing to receiving my couch was flawless. What's even better is I ended up moving to California later in the year and when I was considering buying another La-Z-Boy in 2024 the sales associate that I worked with provided me with their opinion on the fabric that I was thinking of and whether it would be suitable for my cat. Just an excellent customer service experience that I wasn't expecting. 5 stars!

Staff were really nice and knowledgeable. Lots of Canadian product and great selection from very old fashioned to modern. Don't bring a stroller though, hard to manoeuvre.
Needed a tweak to my bill for tax reasons (change of name) and the bookkeeper says noSo not very happy, wont return.
Service was really good and love the furniture. It did take 11 weeks which was fine however the area rug that was ordered is too small for the room. When I called about it, I simply wanted to return it and buy the same one in a larger size but was told no. I was willing to upsale for a bigger one and they don't care whether you're satisfied or not. Also, the delivery is expensive and it's not the great service they lead you to believe. All the furniture was taken out of boxes in the truck. One delivery person was in such a hurry he just plunked the coffee table down in a hurry and took a chunk out of our brand new wood floors. Then he was angry because we asked to have the carpet put down. After they have your money, they don't care if your satisfied.
