Buyer beware: I purchased a brand new Tissot PRX Carbon 11/24. Since then it has broken twice where the band connects to the watch. This is a known issue with this specific watch, yet Oshawa Jewellery continues to sell said watch & refuses to extend any support outside of the mandated 2 year warranty. Waited 3 months & I called 4 separate times before receiving any notice that my 'repaired' watch was waiting for me. Now it's a waiting game before it breaks outside of the warranty period & I am left on my own!
I had an amazing experience at Oshawa Jewelry! Dorsa helped me pick out a beautiful tennis bracelet, and she was absolutely wonderful—kind, patient, and truly knowledgeable. The bracelet is stunning, and thanks to her, the whole experience felt special and enjoyable.
Oshawa Jewellery is always our go-to shop, and a big shout-out to Talen for always making a girl feel special. She takes the time to really understand what you’re looking for and helps you find the perfect piece without ever rushing the process. Her kindness, patience, and knowledge make every visit a great experience. Highly recommend!
Have done a lot of business over the years. Treated well knowledgeable staff will continue. Glad there's a jeweler on site the only battery I know in OC now.
The worst store to walk into if you're looking to buy a watch. I repeat, the worst. I walked in yesterday with my Hamilton watch that I recently purchased off marketplace. The seller didn’t have the box or papers, which is common—many of us misplace the boxes. My watch didn’t have a serial number on the case, but I emailed Hamilton about it, and they confirmed that many Hamilton watches don’t have serial numbers on the case; they’re actually on the movement. Since this store sells Hamilton watches, I assumed they would know this and could help me find my warranty and serial number. The lady behind the counter was busy with two other customers, so I patiently waited my turn. She was chatting with the other customers for an extended period, engaging in redundant small talk, smiling, laughing, and giggling. Fine, I get it. When my turn finally came, however, her smile disappeared like snow in the summer. She gave me a straight face and, when I explained that I needed help verifying the manufacturing year and warranty of my watch from the marketplace, she inspected it and dismissed it as a fake. She claimed all Hamilton watches had serial numbers, so because mine didn’t, it was obviously a replica. I understand she might not have known that some Hamilton watches have serial numbers on the movement, not the case. What I can’t forgive, however, is how she handled my watch. She recklessly placed it directly on the glass counter, not on the soft plate they typically use for watches. Then, she moved it to another section and placed it on the glass again. This resulted in visible scratches on my $2,000 watch from the way she mishandled it, especially with her ring scraping across it. Just because she thought it might be fake doesn’t give her the right to treat a customer's watch so carelessly. To top it off, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the treatment I received had racial undertones. The way she interacted with the other customers and how her colleague treated their customers were completely different from how I was spoken to and treated. I didn’t raise the issue right then and there because I didn’t notice the scratches until I got home, and by then, I was already heartbroken over the way I was treated. I didn’t want to go back. Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you're in the market for a watch. As someone who appreciates watches, I recommend going to Hudson's Bay, Kavar Jewellers, or any other store where they actually care about the product, are enthusiastic about selling watches, and treat every piece with respect, regardless of whether they’re selling it or not.
I purchased a pair of studs for daughter (3yrs old) on November 15th and after she wore for two days and 1 night we observed her ears are all red then I gave call to store and explained everything and requested for an exchange. They said okay they can exchange but After we went to store they are taking about return policy which was never explained to me nor it was on the bill provided at the time of purchase. The Manger who was RUDE with 0% humanity and 0% courtesy not just wasted our time but also took the studs for which I was not refunded. They might sell it again and earn $139.58 from another customer. Their policy is once worn are not supposed to be exchanged but without Waring the studs how would we knew that it would effect my daughter. I am sure this review will not effect the rude lady ( Manager) who is laughing at us very sarcastically. What can a customer do we can just write a review to let the owner know about their RUDE staff.
I brought 2 watches in for repair. One was for a new band (a metal one & it didn’t have to match) & the other wasn’t allowing me to change the date with the crown. The first watch was returned more broken than when I gave it in & told it was “unfixable”. I then went out & bought a watch repair kit & replaced the band myself. The second watch was returned to me with nothing done to it & I was told that it was in perfect working order. It still doesn’t allow me to change the date. Very cool. I bet I’ll be able to figure out how to fix the second watch too with that repair kit too. Oh & if anyone’s wondering the first watch was a Timex Citation & the second is a Swiss Military.

I came back to edit my review positively as I had a couple of good experiences here since my review. But I saw that Oshawa Jewelers had replied with a stone cold lie. I came in with a smartwatch which included a metal band out of the box to get it sized to my wrist. I most definitely did NOT buy a band. What a blatant lie! I was considering buying a Tissot Seastar watch here but I will not be returning out of principal and my original rating has been downgraded to 1 star.Original Review: Its a nice store but they are grossly overpriced when it comes to watch related parts and services. They charged $15 for 2 spring bars (Should be on average $2-$4) and charged $25 to resize a metal watch band. You would be better off going to Sears or The Bay for your watch needs
They offer watch services, but they don't do it in store. To find this out I had to phone and show up a couple times over a few days about having my watch looked at under the impression the watchmaker (WM) was going to be there. I was told the WM would in at a very specific time on my first visit and on my second visit, when the WM was supposed to be there, I was told they didn't know when the WM would show up. They asked me multiple times over different visits if I would like to leave my watch, and when I refused they still didn't tell me that was the only way to have the watch looked at. Wasted multiple trips, very frustrating. 2 stars because despite my experience above the store is presented well, and I was greeted right away each time, despite many people being in the store on at least one of the visits. They also appear to have a better selection of and focus on quality watches over fashion watches compared to elsewhere in the mall and at least they do have subcontractors like a WM for the specialty stuff. Just need to communicate a bit better, with customers and contractors it seems.
