We've been going here for years. They always have what we're looking for, and when we can't find it, they're always willing to help. Highly knowledgeable and very helpful. It's always nice to see what cats are up for adoption, and the resident mouse chaser as well. :)
I HAVE to say that Trish is an absolutely amazing person. The patience and skill that women has impresses me every single time I take in my Boys. ????.
This location is definitely doing fraudulent business. I was asked to leave a deposit for a dental cleaning service that uses this facility for their business. I gave my credit card details over the phone and although I saw a pending charge, was told the transaction did not go through. I paid for the deposit again and the service in full the next day, only to see the original deposit had posted. I contacted the store to let them know and they denied being able to find this transaction and told me to contact pet value customer service, who advised me I had to go back to the store for the refund. It’s been two weeks and I still haven’t received my refund because they claim Moneris said the transaction doesn’t exist, even though I provided a copy of my credit card statements and proof of payment and the double charge. They also told me to contact my bank to dispute this charge, when it is legitimate. I would never do business with this store again and do not trust the owner Calyan with your credit card information.
Came for the dog wash. I was surprised when I entered and the lighting in the store was a depressingingly dim and cold, not like other Pet Valu's I had frequented. The dog wash was clean and there was ample shampoo available, multiple treats, and even after-bath fur sprays. I was disappointed that the blow dryer was not strong and I had to leave with my dog still very wet and the aprons were thin and ripped.
I loveeeee this location. I recently moved from Whitby to Oshawa, and I was sad I was moving away from the Pet Valu in Whitby that has the self serve wash. I recently discovered that the one on Harmony has a self serve wash AND they have permanent cat residents who live at the store! They are soo well behaved and friendly. My dog milo loved saying hi to the friendly staff member with pink hair! Thank you. This is definitely our new go-to Pet Valu.
Most of the staff is very sweet here except for the grey cat that was at the till for at least 5 minutes and COMPLETELY ignored me the till the entire time. I had to wait until the human staff member was finished with another person to cash out. Still havent heard back from hr about my formal complaint against the cat. ??
I highly recommend Trish for your pet grooming needs. . As both my boys, Charlie and Teddy have special needs, Trish goes above and beyond to ensure their grooming experience is comfortable and stress-free. She is incredibly patient, gentle, and understanding, making sure to cater to their individual requirements. Trish's attention to detail is remarkable, and she always leaves Charlie and Teddy looking their best. I am grateful to have found such a skilled and compassionate groomer like Trish. Her service is always exceptional.
