I happy to share that I have successfully completed the 6 week challenge. Personally I am not healthy nor do I work out regularly. After turning 30 I started to notice a lot of change in my body. I have grown more uncomfortable with the weight around my stomach. I have had a gym membership for years now but lack the motivation and displine to attend. The 6 week challenge gave me accountability to push through and get to class. The meal plan took the guess work out of what to eat and when. The staff members are welcoming and provided individual care and consideration throughout each class. With Evolutionary Fitness I was able to loose 10% body fat and overall 16inches. If your looking for results I would encourage you to let their team show you how.
My wife and I have participated in the 6 weeks Challenge at this establishment where the contract clearly states lose 25lbs or 6% body fat and was determined to achieve our goal. It was decided by the owner Sheldon and US that because my did not have 25 lb to lose she then only had one option 6% body fat. I on the other hand still had both options to work with. Before we started our Weight and measurements were taken on the day of signing the contract but our Body fat percentage was not. The following Monday was suppose to be our start date but couldn't because our meal plan was not given to us and communication with the administration was very poor. Eventually we got the meal plan and started the following Monday. At this point our Body fat % was not taken and with communication being very poor we had it done by Sheldon Sunday after we started . Which was a bit unfair to us knowing that your fastest losses comes in your first week. We both continued with the challenge determined to meet our goals. We were inspired by the other members trying to meet their goals as well and the trainers that did a very good job with the classes . By the 3rd week I had ost 10lbs and 7% body fat My wife on the other hand all her measurements was lost most importantly in her case her body fat percentage which was very disappointing to her its like whats her goal now and she was not the only person that happened with . At the end of the 6 weeks there was no measurements provided for my wife so Sheldon had no choice but to refund her money . I on the other hand knowing that I have achieved my goal with 9% body fat and 17lbs decided I will stay on with a membership of a weekly payment of $37.00 per week for 1 year and $30.00 cancellation free at any time . I then ask would any money be debated of my account before my refund of $564,99 is absorbed I was told no . I then said ok and give my payment information to Sheldon . I remained at the gym 2 weeks after the 6 weeks Challenge and at the very beginning of the 3rd week deductions for 2 weeks payments was debited from my account when i ask why I was told that it for my membership fee. I then ask what happened to My $564,99 and was told it went towards my yearly membership. I then said I no longer wants to be a member of your gym so keep the 2 weeks deductions you have already taken and refund me back my money. I was then told that the 6 weeks Challenge money will not be refunded because I did not meet my goal . However because it a new contract that I had signed I would be changed on a month to month rate for the 2 extra weeks which is $249.99+taxes and was told no need to come to the gym to collect my money I dont need to sign anything a partial refund will be made in 5-10 business days . Sheldon was so interested in getting my payment information we never signed a contract for the yearly membership. Long and short of it Sheldon is dishonest started coming up with all different charges to not refund my money and I'm not the first and will not be the last . I hope others read this and avoid doing business with Evolution fitness Oshawa the trainers were good but the management sucks . I was hearing the same complains when I was there but didn't believe it until it happen to me .
Do not be fooled by smooth operator and proven liar Sheldon Scott. The program is not free. I was told to pay $790 upfront but would be entitled to a full refund if I lost 6% body fat.I completed the 6 week program and never even had my body fat measured at this gym so I went and had it measured on my own at good life. At the end of the program I had lost more than 6% body fat based on the scale at good life. Meanwhile Sheldon told me he could determine my body fat by using my body measurements (in inches). He determined that I lost 1.8% body fat. I knew right away that I was being scammed to try and keep my money. After writing a negative google review (after weeks of no response to my emails) Sheldon contacted me saying if I wrote a positive review and send him the results I got from good life gym he would refund my money. I put a positive review about a week ago (I lost 17 lbs so the program did have its positive results for me) and have heard nothing from him since, though I have emailed him several times.Beware this man and this gym for shady practices. My name is Zabrina Albarus however I had to post under my friends account as I do not have one of my own.
Big shoutout to Evolution Fitness, Amazing gym. I have completed my six week program and feel like a new person no joke! they really do work with you and push you to your limits. Its hard to stay positive and train all the time, but with Evolution Fitness even if u dont feel like working out, all you got to do is show up and they pump you up and get you in the mood to kill another workout! Thanks again to the Evolution Team !!
Day 1. This gym is hardcore!! You're pushed passed your self imposed limits for great rewards. So I've completed my 6 week challenge...two months ago. My initial review still stands, the workouts are awesome!! The trainers do push you past what you think is your limit and the great rewards are seen in loss of weight/size/body fat/BMI. Reannen, you're awesome!! Thanks for seeing me through this journey. You're the reason (that and getting my money back) I broke through my limits!Where there is room for improvement is the "fine print" vs the signed contract. When signing up, alot of promises are made, alot of options are given, you can attend any number of classes per week with a minimum of three. Your goal is 25lbs or 6% body fat all for the "low" price of $499+tax (apparently pricing is also arbitrary). The sky is the limit. Two weeks into the program, the number of classes are limited to 5 for the week, some classes are reserved for "full members only" and you quickly realize the rules for success (and your refund) aren't consistent across the board for all 6weekers. Success for some is measured by weight, some by BMI (apparently) and some by body fat percentage. Two months later, due to scheduling conflicts, I still haven't done my final weigh in. I will still say the program works because, even if it's not recognized, I've lost quite alot of weight, down 4 sizes, no clue what my BMI was and my body fat percentage was never taken, but I'm guessing those are down quite a bit too. Now to pin down a time to get weighed out and get my refund. Stay tuned. So after Sheldon Scott (owner) stopped responding to my FB messages and an email request for a copy of my contract, I contacted one of the trainers to have my weigh out done and pictures taken. Since then (I believe it's about 3 weeks now), I'm yet to hear from Sheldon Scott even though the trainer gave him a heads up that I was coming and also let him know that my weigh out was completed. With a loss of 21.4lbs based on their scale (I have paperwork that says different) and 21 inches, you'd think I would have either gotten my money back by now or at least an email stating "good job your refund is in the works". Alas, still radio silence from Sheldon Scott who is still very active on social media might I add. Unfortunately folks, it seems I will be joining the ranks of numerous people who signed up for this "free" program who were forced to go to the BBB or their credit card companies (or both) for the refund. At this point I'd say join at your own risk knowing that if you're ready to work it, the program would work, but you'd have to work equally as hard to get your money back.*Keeping my 5 star rating as that was one of the conditions to get your money back...here's hoping Sheldon's morals are in there somewhere***Changed my star rating as Sheldon Scott is still yet to contact me or refund my money*
