I recently returned 2 dresses to this Dynamite location, and the customer service I received was unacceptable. I came in at approximately 7:15 PM. The cashier who assisted me appeared to be a manager or supervisor, and she was using the till all the way to the left. The 2 dresses I returned were purchased three days earlier, unworn, tags attached, and in perfect condition. I did not try it on at the store when I purchased it as I did not have time to. I tried it on at home and had it on for less than a minute before realizing it didn’t fit well, so the return was entirely reasonable. From the moment I approached her, her demeanor was unprofessional. She did not greet me or acknowledge me. When I explained I was returning the item due to fit, she processed it with visible irritation and without a single courteous word. When the return was completed, I asked if she could dispose of the shopping bag, and she abruptly told me there was a garbage bin outside and that they “don’t take any bags.” Whether or not that is policy, the tone and delivery were unnecessarily rude. After the transaction, I said “thank you,” as I have manners and will not lose my professionalism because of someone else’s lack of it. Thinking she may not have heard me, I said “thank you” again. When I was ignored a second time, it became clear it was intentional. I then said “THANK YOU” louder, because I expect a basic acknowledgment from someone providing customer service. Even then, she chose not to respond. This behavior is unacceptable in any retail environment. A supervisor or manager displaying this level of disregard and unprofessionalism is especially concerning. Management should address this immediately, as this experience alone is enough for me to avoid this location moving forward.
Amazing experience with Janiah, Emma and the rest of the staff! My sister and I walked in looking for some outfits and these ladies did not disappoint. They were outgoing, fun, kind and extremely helpful. I haven’t had a customer service experience like this one in a very long time. They were bubbly and genuinely cared about what they were doing. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much!
I had a very disappointing experience at Dynamite. I tried to exchange an item that still had the tag attached. I didn’t notice a small sticker (sacra) on the product when I purchased it. Even after I contacted customer service, received a reference number, and followed their instructions, the store manager still refused to process my exchange. She clearly told me, “I will not return this item today at any cost, that’s my final decision,” which I found very unprofessional. I’ve always shopped at Dynamite, but this experience left me feeling disrespected as a customer. I hope Dynamite head office looks into this situation and ensures better customer service in the future.
Very pretty selection of dresses and store arrangement. Kind staff. Unfortunately their dresses aren’t really midsize-friendly and I believe are mostly catered to smaller body frames
I just wanted to take a moment to share how amazing my experience has been at the Dynamite store in Oshawa Centre. Nicole and her team never disappoint. Even though I live far from the area, I choose to come here because the service is absolutely outstanding. Nicole always greets me with the warmest smile and truly goes above and beyond to help me, even when I’m unsure of what I want to purchase. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication to customer service are unmatched — and her team reflects those same values. They’re always respectful, helpful, and genuinely caring. Every visit to this store brightens my day. Nicole is truly one of a kind, and the owner of this location is incredibly lucky to have her leading such a fantastic team. I’ve told many of my friends and family about this store and encouraged them to visit, because the service here is unlike anything else. Thank you, Nicole, and your amazing staff — but especially you, for always making my day and being such a sweetheart. You deserve all the recognition and more!
RE: CUSTOMER SERVICE/ACTING MANAGER; Megan had helped me out with A purchase that the HQ was useless about it. She was very professional, understanding, proactive and most pleasant in resolving the issue. Her customer service skills are outstanding as that is almost none existent these days. TO THE DISTRICT MANAGER: "She needs to be promoted asap"! Needless to say I have been a customer for the past 20+ yrs and will be return mainly because of her!
Not only impressed with the customer service and return policy. I purchased two dresses for my mother and I was advised I could return them as long as I have my receipt and was within 30 days. However, when I went to return them today, I was advised that because the tags were removed (although) present all they could offer me was an exchange. Eventually, I asked for a gift card because the items weren't for me. Had I known I had to leave the tags on I would have. Having the receipt and tags apparently still isn't good enough for a return. Sales associates should advise of that upon purchase.
